You In Or What?

Let Thy Spirit Be Thine Guide

Korea is still here. Vinod has probably left. Korea.

This second set of pages took a lot longer to finish than I had expected, but in faith, it is now here. By late June, I will have stopped working at Cambridge Filter Korea. In fact, I expect that is close to the day this page was launched - my Korean farewell in a way. The plan was to go to China, and then to the Phillipines, before heading back to the US sometime in August. I guess we'll just have to figure that out along the way...

But, in my absence (I know you won't take it too hard), I present to you, my year thus far, in review.

One cannot survive on rice alone. This is the moral of my story. Eat and eat well, but above all, be bold in your eating. Let not your eyes be your guide at all times, for the eyes, they be decieved (mind your nose, tis' a clever sense). And so, I bid you follow my gastronomic gallavanting.

Out of my way! Me and this here barrel are coming through!

So what's next? This was one suggestion:

"...how about ditching the U-Haul (We can mail your stuff), picking up some Harleys, and cruising across the wide expanses of this vast country open-air style? We can bring some flasks of Jim Beam, visit a hippie commune, camp in the desert, and avoid the law. We just have to make sure we don't get shot by rednecks..."

We'll have to see if I embrace the biker that resides within my soul (he likes the gorilla bars). Unfortunately, the biker has a mother, once a biker herself, who has other ideas. Who knows - maybe we'll go to Sturgis. Meanwhile, when I do come back home round the end of summer, we'll prepare for some very august celebrations. We'll open up the pool, fire up the grill, lay on some Satchmo, and then, at long last:

"...we'll be struttin' with some barbecue..."
Louis, you da' greatest, baby! Otis says "We're havin' a party, an' everybody's comin'!!"
